Thanks, Rajan, for the quick summary. It's interesting to see the list in summary form, and also to know that there was so much more behind these words.
There was an energy present -- as if each person's essense was speaking. If you looked carefully, you could see people speak from places of intimate knowledge and experience with the challenges of holding on to these values, and at times, telling themselves as much as sharing it with each of us.
Perhaps that was the case for me.
"Be the change you seek in the world" (by Gandhi). I'm a work in progress, trying to emulate the energy, essence, and behaviors I wish to see in the world. I don't always do a good job, but I have come a very long way in the past few years. And there is a whole story behind this.
I very much enjoyed the intimacy of the conversation and am still moved by the original premise: "The world wants to hear what you have to say. What wisdom do you have to share?"
I have imagined this list coming out as a book, where we each get a chapter to write our story and how this quote or belief has guided us. Anyone up for telling their story? I hope to write mine sometime soon.
Neeraj
